More than 1600 young athletes are coming here to compete in 12 core sports including athletics, baseball and soccer.
In March of last year, it was announced that the 2026 Newfoundland and Labrador Summer Games would take place in Corner Brook and Stephenville. Since that time, organizers and volunteers have been busy getting ready for more than 1600 young athletes to compete in 12 core sports including athletics, baseball and soccer.
Opening ceremonies are this Saturday at the Civic Centre and will be emceed by Corner Brook's own comedian Trent McClellan who says he is honoured and it’s great to be home. He also has a sports background growing up in Corner Brook and being a former Captain of MUN’s soccer team, the Seahawks.
