Hard to believe kids will be heading back to school soon, and the start of the school year is starting to stress some parents. The back to school list is long with supplies, clothes, footwear and more. It can be a hard time of the year for many parents finding it tough to keep up with inflation. This year Bayfm is a proud sponsor of the “Stuff the Backpack” event in partnership with Staples and the Vine Place Community centre. It will take place August 17th at the Staples parking lot. Mike Kearley is with Vine Place. He says it’s meant to help low income families. Kearley says they will be looking for backpacks with the typical school supplies stuffed inside. Wendy Norton is the manager of Staples in Corner Brook. She says everyone is invited to visit the parking lot this Thursday for Stuff the Backpack.
