All three drivers had their licenses suspended and vehicles seized.

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) arrested multiple impaired drivers on the west coast of the island in one day during this past weekend. It all started around 1:45 a.m. Sunday morning when police stopped a suspicious vehicle on Main Road in York Harbour. Cst James Cadigan says a 17 year old male from Corner Brook was charged with impaired driving. Then, at 3:30 a.m., police located a vehicle that had come to rest in a snowbank in the Lewin Parkway area. The operator, a 25-year-old male from St. John’s, was later placed under arrest in connection with impaired driving offences.  Shortly after noon, police received a report of impaired driving in Pasadena. As a result, a 57-year-old male from Pasadena was arrested and charged with impaired driving offences. Cadigan says the weather was not  a factor in the Lewin Parkway incident. All three drivers had their licenses suspended and vehicles seized.
