CorCare will replace multiple outdated and disconnected systems.
On April 25th, Newfoundland and Labrador (NL) Health Services is set to launch CorCare, a new province-wide digital health information system. This new health system marks the largest digital project to be undertaken to date in this province. CorCare will replace multiple outdated and disconnected systems. Health-care providers will have access to the health information they need to care for their patients and clients, in real-time to support a secure health record for everyone. Training started in February 2026 for more than 20,000 staff, health-care providers and physicians. CorCare Link will be phased into community clinics over time and NL Health Services has developed a plan to increase physician support during this transition.
