Repairs to continue this week after large potholes slow traffic on the Tailrace bridge near Deer Lake Power

    Recent rainfall has caused large potholes along the Tailrace bridge in front of Deer Lake Power and speed has been reduced to 30 kilometres per hour in that area.

    The Department of Transportation and Infrastructure is advising motorists to slow down and be careful when travelling on the Trans Canada Highway near Deer Lake. Recent rainfall has caused large potholes along the Tailrace bridge in front of Deer Lake Power and speed has been reduced to 30 kilometres per hour in that area. Crews were making repairs over the weekend and a contractor is in place for longer-term repairs, which are due to start this week. The structure is due to be replaced this year.
