Estranged husband Dean Penney charged with killing Jennifer Hillier-Penney, last seen in 2016

    The woman was last seen in St. Anthony on November 30, 2016.

    Dean Penney has been arrested and charged with first degree murder in the death of Jennifer Hillier-Penney. The woman was least seen in November of 2016. Penney was picked up in Deer Lake around noon yesterday and is appearing in wash court this afternoon. No remains have been found but RCMP say there is sufficient evidence to lay the charge. The 50-year-old man will be appearing in Corner Brook Provincial Court for future hearings.

    Earlier story: The RCMP will hold a news conference tomorrow, Saturday, December 16 at 11:30 a.m., to provide a significant update on the investigation into the disappearance of Jennifer Hillier Penney, who was last seen in St. Anthony on November 30, 2016.

    The news conference will be held at RCMP NL Headquarters in St. John's.
