    RCMP NL dealing with several violent crimes on the east coast

    The remains of a 42 year old man was found in a burned out truck in Bay Roberts. Three people were officially charged yesterday after being arrested on Saturday.

    RCMP NL are dealing with several recent reports of violent crimes, including a murder on Monday, September 30th. The remains of a 42 year old man was found in a burned out truck in Bay Roberts. Three people were officially charged yesterday after being arrested on Saturday. At a news conference yesterday, Cpl Jolene Garland says they are also looking into shots being fired on Random island. The vehicle involved was found that afternoon abandoned and burned in Mackinson’s. Garland says there is also the murder of Adam Mercer who was killed and found inside a burned out vehicle in Harbour Grace in April of 2023. Garland says the three incidents are not related. Anyone with information or footage related to these incidents are asked to contact police.
