Kaylee Sullivan says they’re planning a huge celebration on the Majestic Lawn from noon until 3 p.m with games, music, an electric powwow, vendors, dancing and drumming.
It’s not too late to become part of National Indigenous Peoples Day, which is celebrated this Sunday, June 21st. Kaylee Sullivan is the Cultural Wellness facilitator with Qalipu First Nation. She says they’re planning a huge celebration on the Majestic Lawn from noon until 3 p.m with games, music, an electric powwow, vendors, dancing and drumming.
Sullivan says everyone is invited to this garden style event. She says it truly is the one time of the year when they truly honour and celebrate who they are.
