While World Energy GH2 works to get the ball rolling on their wind-hydrogen plans for the southwest group, one group of concerned citizens will be keeping an eye on the process. Brenda Lee Kitchen is with a social media group called, “Protect NL.” The group issued a news release after government announced the environmental release for the project yesterday. Kitchen says they are outraged and demand accountability. She says they still have a few tricks up their sleeves. Kitchen says Protect NL is a proponent of green energy but it has to be done properly. She says a 1km buffer zone is not enough to mitigate negative effects on people and research has shown it should be at least 15kms.
