RCMP are looking for a stolen vehicle from Corner Brook that was allegedly used during a theft from the Canadian Tire Store in Port aux Basques. Police received a report of theft of tools taken from the business around 4 pm that day. Corporal Jolene Garland says the suspect was wearing a yellow rain coat, and police are looking to identify him and find the stolen vehicle. A short time after the theft, the vehicle was located on the TCH near Crabbe’s River by Bay St. George RCMP and was traveling at a high rate of speed. Officers attempted a traffic stop but the driver would not stop. In the interest of public safety, police did not pursue the vehicle.
