RCMP are looking for a stolen vehicle from Corner Brook that was allegedly used during a theft from the Canadian Tire Store in Port aux Basques. Cpl Jolene Garland says the red Kia Forte was last seen heading east on the Trans Canada Highway on January 21st and has a NL plate JDT 231. Police received a report of theft of tools taken from the business around 4 pm that day. Corporal Jolene Garland says the suspect was wearing a yellow rain coat,  and  police are looking to identify him and find the stolen vehicle. A short time after the theft, the vehicle was located on the TCH near Crabbe’s River by Bay St. George RCMP and was traveling at a high rate of speed. Officers attempted a traffic stop but the driver would not stop. In the interest of public safety, police did not pursue the vehicle.
