A church in Aguathuna is in the running as one of five finalists for the National Trust for Canada’s, “the Next Great Save” competition. Online voting starts April 18th and includes Our Lady of Mercy Heritage Church. The complex was built by local fishermen, farmers, and miners over a 14 year period from 1911 to 1925. The winner will get $50,000 to protect, adapt, renew and improve historic places, and will be announced May 7th. Go to nextgreatsave.nationaltrustcanada.ca to cast your vote.
