    One man is dead and a search is underway for another man who was in a vehicle that ended up in a pond near Rose Blanche

    RCMP Cpl Jolene Garland says they got a report indicating that a vehicle was submerged in a pond.

    Channel-Port Aux Basques RCMP is investigating a fatal crash on Route 470 near Rose Blanche on Wednesday evening. Police say one man is dead and the search is continuing for a second man. Cpl Jolene Garland says they got a report indicating that a vehicle was submerged in a pond. One of the deceased was recovered from the water Wednesday evening.  Garland says search efforts are continuing for a second man believed to be an occupant of the vehicle.
