There were no injuries inside the building when a car crashed through the Hew & Draw hotel in Corner Brook last evening. The 41 year old driver of the Honda Civic remains in hospital and the RNC believe the collision was due to a medical issue. Two other people in the area at the time received minor injuries. The building was extensively damaged. It happened around 6:30 p.m. and paramedics were also on the scene. The investigation is continuing. EARLIER STORY: Patrons inside the restaurant section of the Hew & Draw hotel in Corner Brook got quite a scare Thursday night as a vehicle left the road and crashed through the front of the building causing extensive damage. The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary say they responded to the downtown Corner Brook business around 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Paramedics and the fire department were also on the scene.
According to the RNC, nobody inside the building sustained injuries, however the 40-year-old driver of the Honda Civic remains in hospital. The investigation is ongoing, however, the collision is believed to have been the result of a medical issue.
