NLC says cannabis sales are up over 30 percent, ringing in at $23.1 million for the second quarter

    Net earnings are $58.3 million which is consistent with the same period and results from last year.

    The Newfoundland and Labrador Liquor Corporation is reporting profits for the second quarter of the fiscal year 2023, which ended September 30th. Net earnings are $58.3 million which is consistent with the same period and results from last year. President and CEO Bruce Keating says market conditions in the second quarter were stronger than in the first quarter, however, given the broader economic conditions, the market remained sluggish. Alcohol sales were up 1.4 percent at $83.6 million. Cannabis sales are up 30.3 percent over the same time last year at $23.1 million.
