The Newfoundland Insectarium has been in business for 25 years.

Industry Minister Andrew Parsons announced funding for three businesses  through the Business Development Support Program. The Newfoundland Insectarium near Deer Lake is getting just over $18,000 in non-repayable funding to help with marketing. Minister Parsons says the Insectarium is a prime tourist destination. “It is one of the primary tourist destinations in Atlantic Canada and one of the hot spots of the west coast,” he says. “In order to continue to grow, they need to work on marketing.” The Newfoundland Insectarium has been in business for 25 years.
