Manitoba man arrested after stealing a cab from Pynn's Brook and crashing it nearby

    The suspect blew four times the legal limit at the Deer Lake detachment.

    A 28-year-old man was arrested last Thursday morning after stealing a taxi cab from Pynn’s Brook. Around 10:30 a.m. RCMP got a call saying the man threatened his taxi driver, stole the vehicle and crashed it nearby. Neither of them were injured. The suspect blew four times the legal limit at the Deer Lake detachment. The Manitoba man is charged with uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm, theft of a motor vehicle and impaired operation. He is due to appear in court next month.
