Minister Parsons says it was a great opportunity to make connections, new and old.
Industry Minister Andrew Parsons is back from the 24th World Petroleum Congress in Calgary which wraps up today. Held every 3 years, the event is known as the “Olympics” of the petroleum industry and brings together leaders in the oil and gas sector. Minister Parsons says it was a great opportunity to make connections, new and old. The congress generally attracts more than 10,000 delegates from 100 countries. Parsons says a delegation from this province was there to sell. This is the first time in over 20 years Canada has won a bid to host the World Petroleum Congress.
