Premier Tony Wakeham has shuffled his cabinet and Humber-Gros Morne MHA Mike Goosney has a new portfolio. He has been appointed as Minister of Tourism, Culture and Arts, as well as, Sport, Recreation and Parks, PictureNL, the Newfoundland and Labrador Arts Council, and the Pippy Park Commission.
Former Tourism Minister Andrea Barbour is now Minister of Environment, Conservation and Climate Change, as well as the Multi-Materials Stewardship Board.
Other changes include Barry Petten is the Minister of Municipal and Community Affairs, Finance Minister Craig Pardy assumes the Office of the Chief Information Officer, and Energy Minister Lloyd Parrett has more duties now with Government Services, Labour and Workplace NL. Chris Tibbs is appointed as Minister of Social Supports and Well-Being, as well as Housing, Poverty Reduction, and Status of Persons with Disabilities. Joedy Wall is now Minister of Health and Community Services.
