There’s a church on the Port au Port Peninsula in a national running contest for $50,000 worth of renovations but they need your vote. The Painted Lady Project is an initiative by Our Lady of Mercy Church. Committee member Lynn MacDonald says this awe-inspiring building was built by a community of fishermen, farmers, and miners and turns 100 years old next year. MacDonald says to vote you just need to search “the Next Great Save.” Votes can be cast online until May 6th.
