Benoit has been nominated for Indigenous Artist of the Year and Country Recording of the Year for “Time Traveller:” the album.
A big congratulations to Jason Benoit. The host of Bayfm’s “That’s Country” on Saturday nights has received not one, but two nominations for the East Coast Music Awards 2024. Benoit has been nominated for Indigenous Artist of the Year and Country Recording of the Year for “Time Traveller:” the album. He won his first and only ECMA in 2019 and says this feels surreal. Benoit says it’s things like this that keep him headed down the same path and he’s working on a new album. Debbie Mullins is the Chair of the ECMA Board of directors. She says the award show will be held May 1-5 in Charlottetown, PEI. NL takes 52 nominations in 28 diverse categories.
