President Dale Lambe says about 400 teachers across this province participated in the Accord process in good faith, providing their time and considerable experience and expertise with an expectation the drafters of this report would produce a credible document at the end of day.
The Newfoundland and Labrador Teachers’ Association is looking into claims that some of the sources cited in the Education Accord are either fabricated or AI generated. President Dale Lambe says that document was supposed to set the course for the education system. He says about 400 teachers across this province participated in the Accord process in good faith, providing their time and considerable experience and expertise with an expectation the drafters of this report would produce a credible document at the end of day.
Lambe says teachers are very concerned about this and want clarity from the Provincial Government and full transparency. He says “Teachers, parents and students have waited too long for a comprehensive vision for the K-12 education system in the province.”
