It’s bound to be a time this weekend at the two-day Humber Arm South Festival. Event chair Charlene Duffy says gates open at 7 o'clock tomorrow night with “Big Talk Sam” hitting the stage first. However, she says there will be an event starting 1 p.m. today with the opening of the “Mountain Isle Day Park.” This event is free to attend and will feature a BBQ, music, pony rides and a water slide. Meanwhile, tomorrow Saturday night at the festival, Duffy says people will also be entertained by “Three of a Kind.” Tomorrow evening will wrap up with “The Cover Girls.” On Sunday, gates open at 1:30 and will feature the Benoits Cove Native Women’s Association, Paul Seaward, Peter Jacobs, and the Mill City Mavericks with Tammy Dutcher.
