Residents are encouraged to provide information such as region, route name or number, the nearest municipality or landmark, and the type of highway issue being experienced.

It’s something we all talk about from time to time and now residents have a chance to weigh in on highway improvement projects. The Department of Transportation and Infrastructure is taking suggestions for the 2026-27 Road Construction Projects plan for this season, as well as future years.

Residents are encouraged to provide information such as region, route name or number, the nearest municipality or landmark, and the type of highway issue being experienced. Road projects will be based on safety; traffic volumes; socio-economic impacts; input from the general public; commercial, industry, and tourism impacts; populations serviced; the impacts of climate change; and assessments by department engineers.

The deadline for submissions is end of day February 16th. Views, concerns and photos can be emailed to roadsplaninput@gov.nl.ca or mailed to  P.O. Box 8700, St. John’s, A1B 4J6
