There aren’t many people in Corner Brook who haven’t heard of Priscilla Boutcher. First elected in 1981 and the only female Mayor of Corner Brook, Boutcher recently celebrated her 90th birthday. Councillor Pam Gill says she has been a mentor since she came to Corner Brook to work at the Western Star. Gill says it wasn’t easy being a female on council but priscilla paved the path.
