Government Services Minister Mike Goosney says the focus is on four areas that include E-bikes and e-scooters, bicycle safety as well as car and booster seats for children, and driving schools.

Government is looking at changes to the Highway Traffic Act that could be introduced this fall. The public can have a say about this through an online survey or by emailing or mailing feedback. Government Services Minister Mike Goosney says the focus is on four areas that include E-bikes and e-scooters, bicycle safety as well as car and booster seats for children, and driving schools. Goosney says this was a result of recommendations made to government from groups like the Child Passenger Safety Association of Canada and the Child Death Review Committee.

An online questionnaire can be completed on engageNL, and submissions can also be emailed to roadsafetyfeedback@gov.nl.ca. or mailed to P.O. Box 8700, St. John, NL A1B 4J6. The deadline for feedback is Thursday, September 3rd.
