Government is reviewing plans for a quarry northeast of Cape Ray

    It will be known as the Barachois River Bridge Quarry.

    Government is reviewing plans for a quarry to produce materials that would be used for construction projects along the west coast. Farrell’s Excavating Ltd. wants to build a 3.53-hectare sand, gravel and rock quarry approximately 3.8 kilometres northeast of Cape Ray. It will be known as the Barachois River Bridge Quarry. The undertaking was registered on February 13th, the deadline for public comment is March 20th and the Environment Minister’s decision is expected on March 30th.
