Government is reviewing plans for the first stage of the Great Coastal Trail development project. Trailhead Development Company Inc. wants to build a 28-kilometre multi-use trail for walking and biking. Work includes tree cutting, pruning, vegetation clearing and the construction of bridges, as well as bike parking, information kiosks, and outdoor seating. The undertaking was registered January 4th, public comments are due by February 13th and the Environment minister’s decision will be done by February 23rd.
