The public hearing of Newfoundland Power’s 2025-2026 general Rate Application may be going into its final week of expert testimony. A number of stakeholders will take the witness stand this week. This is the first time in eight years that the Board has held a public hearing and there have been significant issues with critical or notable evidence being presented. Newfoundland Power is asking the Board to approve a 5.5% increase effective July 1, 2025.
