Do you want to make a fairy door for Tree Party 2024? Join local artist Jackie Alcock as she leads this workshop for all ages. Tree Party is a family-friendly, cultural extravaganza in partnership with Blow Me Down Trails and the City of Corner Brook's Jigs & Wheels Festival. It takes place July 27th from 1-6 p.m. at the trails with a music stage, art area, outdoor market, the fairy door area, a Bigfoot scavenger hunt, kids activities and a sword display. Kevin Barnes will also be there doing a Medicine Walk. Debbie Brown is the events coordinator at Laughing Heart Music. She tells Bayfm’s Terry Boland, this will be their biggest event yet. Meanwhile, Brown says there will be a fairy door workshop later today hosted by Corner Brook artist Jackie Alcock at 62 Broadway from 4-6 p.m. There will be supplies on hand, but feel free to bring any old buttons, drawer pulls, dowling or other craft items to use on your door. Remember these doors will be placed outside so make sure items are weather resistant. Doors can also be picked up at 62 Broadway and must be returned before next Thursday, July 25th.
