Update: One man has been shot and another man is in custody after an incident in Norris Point last night

    The RCMP issued an advisory around 11:00 p.m. Thursday night.

    A man has been shot and another man is in custody after an incident in Norris Point last night. The injured man was transported to Bonne Bay Health Centre and was treated for injuries not believed to be life-threatening. Rocky Harbour RCMP issued an advisory around 11 o’clock last night asking residents to stay inside their homes with the doors locked. Police say the shooting took place at a residential property on Main Street in Norris Point last night. Officers remain in the area today and the investigation is continuing.

    Residents are asked to avoid the area and to stay inside their homes with the doors locked.
