Residents will soon see 2-3 big blowers out and about starting with Elizabeth Street and Sunnyslope Drive areas to downtown.
Corner Brook staff are busy today switching over snow plows to include baskets and blowers. The issue was discussed at the start of last night’s public meeting. Councillor Pamela Gill asked when the process would start since there are many problem intersections in the city. The city’s Director of Engineering, Donny Burden says crew started last night working with plows to clear the snow to be ready for the mechanical switchover today. Residents will soon see 2-3 big blowers out and about starting with Elizabeth Street and Sunnyslope Drive areas to downtown. He says with a break in the weather, crews will be busy at this for the next few days.
Mayor Jim Parsons says crews are still working on clearing up after this past weekend. He says it started out mild but escalated quickly and ended up being pretty substantial.
