Created in 1985, Xavier House provides a safe home to many in need

    Donna Luther is with Xavier House. She says the Presentation sisters started Xavier House in the eighties and without Xavier House, these residents would have nowhere to go.

    Homelessness is an invisible issue in Corner Brook. We don’t have a tent city like the capital but there are couch surfers and people without a safe place to go. Donna Luther is with Xavier House. She says the Presentation sisters started Xavier House in the eighties and without Xavier House, these residents would have nowhere to go. Luther says there is homelessness in Corner Brook and across the whole province. The Xavier House Toonie Quest West is a fundraiser to help the residents.
