Byrne says it’s no secret there is work left to do, and these deficiencies were highlighted a while ago and are very minor.

Corner Brook MHA Gerry Byrne says the new hospital will be completely up to code by the time it opens next year. He was responding to a news release issued by the opposition, saying there are 2700 deficiencies at the newly constructed facility. Byrne says it’s no secret there is work left to do, and these deficiencies were highlighted a while ago and are very minor. He says this is not unusual for a 600,000 square foot building. Byrne says that number isn’t even correct at this point since it’s down to 290. He says there are benefits to having a facility constructed under the P3 model. Byrne says this building is under a 30 year warranty with the contractor. He says this new state of the art  health facility will serve the people of this area for years to come.
