On Bayfm with Lenny Benoit yesterday, Mayor Linda Chaisson says residents called in with a lot of concerns and the city will be "lenient" as the new program rolls out.
The city of Corner Brook is into the first week of the new automated garbage and dual stream recycling program, and Mayor Linda Chaisson says the phones have been “hot.” The city also introduced a new dial by department to its complaint line, 637-1666. On Bayfm with Lenny Benoit yesterday, Chaisson says residents called in with a lot of concerns and the city will be "lenient" as the new program rolls out.
Meanwhile, Chaisson also spoke about the amount of snowfall in the area. She says there’s nowhere to put the snow, which makes it hard to determine where to place garbage cans.
Lenny Benoit’s forecast is calling for a snowy week in Corner Brook with 5-10 cms of the white stuff every day and snow squalls. Chaisson reminds residents that clearing snow from properties into roadways is not allowed.
Tune into Bayfm every Tuesday morning to hear what’s happening at city hall with Mayor Linda Chaisson.
