Western Regional Hospital Foundation Executive Director Suzanne Carey says 7 or 8 chefs have signed up but they have room for 14 at the Civic Centre.

Here’s something warm to think about on a cold day ... .the annual Charity Chill Cook Off as part of Corner Brook Winter Carnival is coming up February 21st and they’re looking for chefs. The event is a fundraiser for the Western Regional Hospital Foundation. Executive Director Suzanne Carey tells Bayfm’s Lenny Benoit it’s an event that has evolved and this will be the 16th year. So far, she says 7 or 8 chefs have signed up but they have room for 14 at the Civic Centre. She says the tasters are the voters and over 250 people attend.

Carey says it’s a way to help the foundation with fundraising while grabbing a lunch with the family. Meanwhile, Bayfm’s Lenny Benoit will breaking out the crock pots this year, and he’s issuing a challenge already…he’s calling on “Frenemy” Corner Brook MHA Parsons to come back to the heated challenge.
