Big Game License Draw now open to hunters until May

    The total moose quota for the Island is 28,705, including 20,835 either-sex, 7,390 male-only, and 480 not-for-profit licences.

    It’s time to apply to get a moose or caribou this season and government has increased the number of available licenses by 1090. The Big Game License Draw is open to hunters until May 1st. The total moose quota for the Island is 28,705, including 20,835 either-sex, 7,390 male-only, and 480 not-for-profit licences. The caribou quota is 614 animals, including 36 either-sex and 578 male-only.
