The truck is confirmed as a black Nissan Frontier with a roof rack.

Bay St. George RCMP is looking to identify the owner or driver of a vehicle that fled from police on Wednesday afternoon. At approximately 2:00 p.m. an officer tried to stop a pickup truck on Carolina Avenue.  The truck kept going and drove over a number of residential properties causing damage to some lawns.  In the interest of public safety, officers did not pursue the vehicle which was last seen on Georgia Drive. The truck is confirmed as a black Nissan Frontier with a roof rack.  Bay St. George RCMP asks residents and business owners in the area to check for possible surveillance footage of this vehicle from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. on April 17, and to report any information to the detachment. The investigation is continuing.

Anyone having information about this incident, the identity of the driver or registered owner, or the current location of this vehicle, is asked to contact Bay St. George RCMP at 709-643-2118.  To remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers: #SayItHere 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), visit www.nlcrimestoppers.com or use the P3Tips app.
