Shawn Street of BOISAR says they got a call the same day and sprang into action looking for the woman. They searched the shorelines and water, as well as woods in the area until nightfall.
The woman was located Monday morning and Street says even after spending a few nights in the elements, she was okay when they found her. Street says there are about 50 members with BOISAR, who are ready to go at a moment’s notice.
The RNC thanked the Bay of Islands Search and Rescue team and the public for their assistance with this matter.
