Dean Frederick Penney, charged with the first degree murder of Jennifer Hillier-Penney, will be back in Corner Brook Provincial Court on Friday. The woman has been missing from St. Anthony for the past seven years. Penney appeared in court this afternoon in front of Judge Kymil Howe. The 50-year-old Penney was very quiet when being led into the courtroom. Outside the courtroom, Jennifer’s daughter Marina Goodyear spoke to reporters. She says she still feels like she is in shock but will attend every court appearance until she sees her father sent to prison. Goodyear says she knew this was bad when her mother went missing seven years ago. Penney was arrested Friday in Deer Lake and appeared in wash court on Saturday. Police would not confirm the exact location but did say they have enough evidence to lay a first degree murder charge.
