A 66-year-old man is dead after a snowmobile crash near Port Saunders

    Shortly before 6:30 p.m. on Friday, (February 28th), police responded to a report of a snowmobile crash. 

    Port Saunders RCMP is investigating a fatal snowmobile incident that happened on Friday. A 66-year-old man, who was traveling alone, was located deceased in a remote area near Eddies Cove West.  Shortly before 6:30 p.m. on Friday, (February 28th), police responded to a report of a snowmobile crash.  Two snowmobilers came upon an overturned snowmobile and discovered the body of the unresponsive man underneath the machine. The man’s body was transported out of the wooded area and taken to Western Memorial Regional Hospital as part of the investigation.
