A 63 year old man is dead after a crash near South Branch on Friday

Shortly before 4:00 a.m. on Friday, Channel-Port aux Basques RCMP received a report from a motorist about an overturned tractor trailer off the highway.

A 63-year-old man is dead after a single-vehicle crash on the Trans-Canada Highway near South Branch on Friday (June 7, 2024.) Shortly before 4:00 a.m. on Friday, Channel-Port aux Basques RCMP received a report from a motorist about an overturned tractor trailer off the highway. Police attended the scene and located the driver of the vehicle dead inside. A Collision Reconstructionist with RCMP Traffic Services attended the scene and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner is involved in this ongoing investigation.
