76-year-old woman suffering serious injuries after being struck by an impaired driver in Corner Brook Friday evening

    The RNC have charged the 27 year old female driver with impaired driving causing bodily harm.

    A 76-year old woman was taken to hospital with serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle in Corner Brook early Friday evening. Cst Stephanie Myers says police charged the 27 year old female driver with impaired driving causing bodily harm. The RNC were called to Wheeler’s Road around 6 p.m Friday. 

    Accident Investigation and Forensic Identification Services are involved in this ongoing investigation. Myers says RNC Collision Reconstructionists are seeking any witnesses or video footage (CCTV, dash-camera, cell phone) from the area around the time of the collision. Anyone with information that may assist the investigation is asked to contact the RNC at 709-637-4100.     The female driver was released from police custody to appear in court at a later date. Her licence was also suspended and the vehicle impounded.
