RCMP caught two impaired drivers last weekend, one in central and the other in Port au Port. Bay St. George RCMP stopped a vehicle on Main Road January 11th shortly before 1 a.m. The driver, a 23-year-old woman, showed signs of impairment. A roadside test took place and she was arrested. Additional samples collected at the detachment were well above the legal limit. Both drivers will appear in court at later dates to answer to charges of impaired operation. They both had their driver’s licences suspended and vehicles impounded.
