He is facing four counts of uttering threats and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

A 19-year-old man lost his license last week after threatening some people in a car with a knife in St. Anthony. Around one o’clock Thursday morning, RCMP Cpl Jesse O’Donaghey says the driver reported being followed by a snowmobiler who was threatening the occupants of their car and appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. The operator was known to the group, who provided a name and description to police.

Officers located the 19-year-old man at his residence a short time later, and he was taken into custody without incident. A search of the man at the time of his arrest resulted in the seizure of the knife. The man provided a sample that was below the legal limit for impaired operation, but in violation of the conditions of his driver’s licence. He is facing four counts of uttering threats and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. His next court date is in April.
