A new quarry near Barachois Brook gets approval from government

A sand and gravel quarry in the Bay St. George area has been given the green light from government. Farrell’s Excavating Ltd. plans to operate a nearly 7-hectare quarry just over 2 kms from the community of Barachois Brook. Quarry materials will be used for road development  as well as paving in the area.
