Western Long-Term Care Home was part of a review on frontline healthcare workers resulting in 21 recommendations

The Western Long-Term Care Home was one of 6 sites across the province selected for a review of frontline healthcare workers. Last summer, Deloitte Inc. was contracted to complete the core staffing review, which assessed the minimum levels and skill mix needed to safely meet patient care needs. They had 21 recommendations on enabling staff to work to full value, stabilizing and sustaining core staffing, transitioning to evidence-based forecasting and reducing structural load on staffing. The Western Long-Term Care Home has 10 rehab and 15 restorative beds.
