Each year, Corner Brook city council has to hold an election to fill the position of Deputy Mayor. At last night’s public meeting, Deputy Mayor Pam Keeping was the only one nominated and after accepting, she was declared Deputy Mayor by acclamation. On Bayfm this morning, Keeping spoke about her continued commitment to the city.
If more than one person had been nominated, Councillors would have had to fill out a ballot for their choice.
