Social media lit up yesterday after a post was made saying a missing bernedoodle named “Reid” has been found. Lorenzo Reid is the owner of Stepping Stones Daycare for nearly three decades now. On August 21st, he was in a motor vehicle accident on the TCH just west of Gander. He wasn’t seriously injured but the family’s 3 year-old Bernedoodle got a fright and took off into the woods. After 45 days on his own, Carmel Reid says they got Reid early yesterday morning in a live trap. She says it took her about 7 minutes to drive there from the hotel. Reid says when Lorenzo and their furbaby met again, it was a heartwarming moment.
Reid’s fur is matted and will need to be shaved, he’s lost weight and is dirty but has an appointment with the vet this morning to get checked out.
