19 new RNC officers were officially sworn in yesterday and 4 of them are headed to Corner Brook. Cst Stephanie Myers says they will all spend time with a Coach officer before being “cut loose.” The newly appointed constables will be assigned to a senior officer with Operational Patrol Services in the Corner Brook and the Northeast Avalon Regions.
Myers says the RNC currently has a class of 21 cadets attending the Atlantic Police Academy (APA) in Prince Edward and is actively recruiting for 2027. For more information about the application process or to apply, visit www.rnc.gov.nl.ca/join.
