Shortly before 1:30 p.m. this afternoon, the RNC responded to Corner Brook Regional High School to a report of online threats. As a precaution, officers attended the school and supported the lockdown procedure. Additional responding officers were able to quickly locate the person of interest in another area of town. The investigation is ongoing, however, at this time there appears to have been no direct threat made and the individual was not in possession of a weapon. Officers will be on scene continuing to investigate, however there is no risk to public safety.
